Description:
I. The Ministry of Education has commissioned the Department of Chemistry, National Taiwan Normal University, to organize the national team to participate in the 59th International Chemistry Olympiad in 2027.

II. Eligibility for the preliminary examination (those who meet the following conditions may freely register with their school):
報名)：
(1) Born on or after July 1, 2007 (under 20 years of age).
(2) Possess a Republic of China identification card.
(3) Be a student in a senior high school in our country.
(4) Junior high school students who apply, in addition to meeting the above conditions (1) and (2), must be students in a junior high school in our country, and have been admitted to and completed the junior high school science olympiad training camp (proof must be attached at the time of registration).
國國民中學學校在學學生，並錄取國中科奧選訓營且完
成選訓 (須於報名時檢附證明)。
(5) Students participating in non-school-based experimental education at the senior high school level who have not yet obtained a school registration can register through the competent authorities of the respective municipalities and counties.
籍之學生，得經由各該直轄市、縣（市）主管機關報名。
(6) If the eligibility is not met during registration, and it is verified to be true, the registration and participation qualifications will be canceled.
資格。
III. The national preliminary examination will be held on November 14, 2026 (Saturday) from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The examination time is 2 hours. The scope of the test is based on the content of high school chemistry. Examinees must bring identification with a photo to take the exam.

IV. Registration is done through the school where the student is enrolled. On-site registration is not accepted, and late registrations will not be processed. For registration procedures, please visit the official website (

V. The registration period is from 9:00 AM on September 15, 2026, to 5:00 PM on October 12, 2026.

VI. The national examination will be held simultaneously in 10 examination areas, as follows: Taipei Examination Area: Jianguo High School and Gongguan Campus of NTNU, Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli Examination Area: Wuling High School, Taichung-Changhua-Nantou Examination Area: Taichung First High School, Yunlin-Chiayi Examination Area: Chiayi High School, Tainan Examination Area: Tainan First High School, Kaohsiung Examination Area: Kaohsiung High School, Yilan Examination Area: Yilan High School, Hualien Examination Area: Hualien High School, Penghu Examination Area: Magong High School.

中一中、雲嘉考區：嘉義高中、臺南考區：臺南一中、高

VII. Students whose preliminary examination scores are in the top 30% will be awarded a certificate of excellent performance.
