Description:
I. In accordance with the Ministry of Education, National and Preschool Education Administration's letter No.
1155400585 dated February 11, 115 [2026], regarding the "115 [2026] Taiwan Senior High School Critical Thinking and English Debate Promotion Project" National Senior High School English Critical Thinking Presentation Competition.
II. This competition aims to encourage students to deepen their English expression and critical thinking skills, cultivate bilingual communication, information interpretation, and rational argumentation abilities, and promote exchange among teachers and students from various schools, revitalizing bilingual critical thinking education in vocational high schools and professional departments/specialized programs of senior high schools.
III. The competition rules are summarized as follows:
(I) Participants: Students from public and private vocational high schools, as well as students from professional departments/specialized programs of general and comprehensive high schools are eligible to participate; students from non-professional departments/specialized programs of general and comprehensive high schools are not eligible.
(II) The competition will be conducted in English and will consist of two parts: "Prepared Topic" and "Impromptu Topic," as follows:
1. Prepared Topic:
(1) The organizers will announce the prepared topic in advance. The prepared topic will be a controversial issue that may be related to a policy or daily life.
(2) The organizers will provide written reference materials in Chinese or English related to the topic. Participating teams may also collect up to 2 additional references on their own. They will then integrate and interpret the information from these materials, transforming the interpretation results into arguments supporting their chosen stance and responses to the opponent's potential arguments and evidence, presented in the form of an English presentation.
2. Impromptu Topic:
(1) On the day of the competition, teams that have completed their prepared topic presentations will immediately proceed to the impromptu topic English presentation.
(2) Participating teams will interpret or analyze 1 English document related to daily life. The organizers will provide a vocabulary list for the English words in the document and a presentation template to assist participants in understanding the content and producing their presentations.
(3) The impromptu presentation topic will be either a "document interpretation" or an "evidence analysis" type.
(III) Important Competition Schedule:
1. Registration Period: From now until October 16, 115 [2026] (Friday) at 12:00 PM. Please complete the registration information through the online form:

2. Any changes to registration information must be completed before the registration system closes on October 23, 115 [2026] (Friday) at 12:00 PM.
3. Competition Time and Location:
(1) Competition Date: November 14, 115 [2026] (Saturday).
(2) Competition Venue: Taichung Municipal Shalu Industrial Senior High School.
(3) Address: No. 823, Section 7, Taiwan Boulevard, Shalu District, Taichung City.

式之一種。
(三)比賽重要時程：
