Informs that the Ministry of Education's National and Preschool Education Administration has forwarded the latest regulations from the Ministry of Labor. The Ministry of Labor amended and issued the "Qualifications for Applying for the Technical Skills Examination in Chinese Culinary Arts" on June 24, 2025, which will officially take effect on July 1, 2026.
Students and faculty who plan to apply for the Chinese Culinary Arts technician skills examination in the future, please pay close attention to the following significant changes in qualifications:
1. Key Changes:
Starting from July 1, 2026, those applying for the "Chinese Culinary Arts Class C and B" technician skills examination must submit one of the following supporting documents at the time of application:
1. Proof of hours of hygiene training.
2. Proof of completion of credits for food (culinary) hygiene-related courses.
2. Important Notes:
The previous notice from the Ministry of Labor (formerly the Council of Labor Affairs of the Executive Yuan) dated December 18, 2023, Labor-Middle-2-Letter-No. 1020204423 (old regulations), will cease to apply from July 1, 2026.
Students planning to take the examination for this category after July 2026 are urged to comply with the relevant regulations and participate in hygiene training or complete relevant credits in advance to avoid affecting their eligibility for application.
