Description:
1. National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University is committed to promoting bilingual international education by carefully selecting popular foundational courses from the globally renowned MOOC platform FutureLearn, guiding high school students to open their windows to the world anytime, anywhere.
The courses are coached by professional English-speaking instructors who, within 16 hours, provide online guidance to students on mastering learning strategies and practical English skills.
They also encourage students to engage in immersive interaction and discussion with learners from various countries.
Ultimately, through personal learning reflection, students will develop independent self-learning abilities and broaden their international horizons.
2. This session's courses are themed "Solving Real-World Problems with AI: Building Your First Impact Project," designed to help students learn through a complete practical process from problem identification, data verification, to outcome presentation.
The courses include "Discovering Problems with Generative AI: Building Your Sustainable Solutions (Sustainable Solutions with GenAI: Harnessing AI for Social & Environmental Impact)," "Thinking Like a Detective: Solving Problems with Data and Evidence (Evidence and Data Collection for Problem Solving)," and "Making Your Ideas Visible: Completing Your Impact Presentation (Presenting Your Work with Impact: Presentation Skills Training)."
3. Activity Dates: From Wednesday, July 1, 2026, to Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
4. Number of Participants: Each course is expected to enroll a total of 50 high school students. A quota of 30 spots is reserved for students from Taoyuan County; any unfilled reserved spots will be released.
5. Registration Period: From now until Tuesday, June 16, 2026. The registration form will close once capacity is reached.
6. Attached are the "Bilingual Online Study Tour" activity brochure (Attachment 1) and poster (Attachment 2).
