Regulations for Student Regular Assessment Make-up Exams
I. These supplementary regulations (hereinafter referred to as these regulations) are formulated and promulgated in accordance with the "Regulations for Learning Assessment of Senior High School Students" issued by the Ministry of Education on June 18, 2019, No. 1080057314B, and the examination rules of National Taipei University of Technology Affiliated Taoyuan Agricultural and Industrial Senior High School.
II. Students of all grades in our school who are unable to participate in school regular assessments and semester make-up exams due to official leave, bereavement leave, sick leave, pre-natal leave, maternity leave, miscarriage leave, parental leave, menstrual leave, or other major incidents, and have been approved for leave, shall have their make-up exam matters handled in accordance with these regulations.
III. If a student is unable to attend an exam due to official leave, bereavement leave, or a major illness/accident, they must complete the leave application procedures at the Student Affairs Office. After approval, they must submit supporting documents to the Academic Affairs Office for registration. The make-up exam application procedures must be completed at the Academic Affairs Office at least 2 class days before the exam. If the student is unable to attend the exam due to sudden serious illness, emergency, or accident, they must inform their homeroom teacher or call the Academic Affairs Office by 8:00 AM on the day of the exam. Students who are absent without approved leave will be marked as absent, and the subjects missed will be graded as zero.
IV. Students applying for make-up exams for regular assessments and semester make-up exams shall follow the provisions below:
(1) For official leave, bereavement leave, sick leave, pre-natal leave, maternity leave, miscarriage leave, parental leave, menstrual leave, and other major incident reasons, approval from the Student Affairs Office and supporting documents are required.
(2) For sick leave, if the leave can be applied for in advance, it shall be handled as in the preceding paragraph. If it is a temporary situation and advance application is not possible, the homeroom teacher will confirm and complete the leave application procedures on behalf of the student.
(3) Students applying for make-up exams must obtain the make-up exam application form from the Academic Affairs Office and complete the application process at least 2 class days before the school's regular assessment.
V. Students who have been approved for leave and have completed the make-up exam application procedures will have their make-up exam on the first class day after the exam day. Make-up exam students must go directly to the Academic Affairs Office for their make-up exam by 8:00 AM on the make-up exam day. They are not allowed to enter the classroom and must participate in the make-up exam according to the schedule. Otherwise, the missed subjects will be graded as zero.
VI. If the leave date for a regular assessment exceeds the first class day after the exam day, students must proactively apply for a make-up exam at the Academic Affairs Office by 8:00 AM on the first class day after returning from leave. Otherwise, the missed subjects will be graded as zero.
VII. If the leave date for a semester make-up exam exceeds the deadline for uploading make-up exam scores set by the school, or if the make-up exam cannot be completed before the deadline, the make-up exam score for the missed subject will be zero.
VIII. The make-up exams stipulated in these regulations are limited to one attempt.
IX. Calculation of make-up exam scores for regular assessments:
(1) For official leave, sick leave, bereavement leave, pre-natal leave, maternity leave, parental leave, and miscarriage leave (excluding personal leave), the score will be calculated based on the actual score obtained.
(2) For personal leave due to major special circumstances, the maximum score will be 60 points.
(3) If the student returns from leave after the score registration deadline, the score for that subject will be zero. Note: The make-up exam score for semester make-up exams will be capped at 60 points.
X. If a student has other special reasons for being unable to take a make-up exam, they may apply to the relevant unit for the principal's approval, and diversified assessments will be implemented.
