Q:What should be done if students use the excuse of taking attendance to play on their phones after online roll call?
A:Hello teacher, online roll call can be done using both computer and paper methods. If students are unable to use their phones, they can use the class's public computer to report absences and tardiness.
Q: How can a teacher take roll call if they are both teaching a class and serving as a homeroom teacher?
A:The responsibility for taking roll call lies with the subject teacher. The homeroom teacher, in order to manage the class autonomously and to better understand individual student situations in terms of life guidance, can be granted editing rights. It is not recommended for the homeroom teacher to take roll call for classes they are not personally teaching.
Q: What if the teacher edits it, and then a student changes it back?
A:As long as the teacher logs into the class, the system will lock it. At this point, students will lose their editing privileges and will not be able to modify the attendance data entered by the teacher. Furthermore, regardless of who takes the roll call, the system will record who the editor is, which greatly enhances security and confidentiality compared to the previous paper-based method.
Q: What if the system crashes and roll call cannot be taken?
A:Please teachers record attendance and absences using your phone or paper first. The Student Affairs Office will promptly coordinate with the system provider for repairs. Teachers are requested to complete the supplementary registration within three days. If there are any concerns, students can also come to the Student Affairs Office to pick up a paper attendance sheet, fill it out, and return it to the Student Affairs Office.
Q:5/6-5/17Can we solely use paper roll call?
A:5/6-5/17This is an adaptation period for online roll call, so both online and paper records must be submitted. During this period, any issues can be reported directly, and we will assist in resolving them to ensure smooth operation when fully transitioning to online roll call.
Q:The discipline monitor cannot see many courses and cannot take roll call.?
A:As the roll call system is being tested and launched mid-semester, to avoid affecting grade calculations,
Q:Why does the same class period appear twice??
A:If there are two teachers for a practical training class, two courses for the same class period will appear.
Q:If it's a cross-class course and substitute roll call is not possible, how should roll call be taken??
A:For temporary substitute teaching, it is recommended that the substitute teacher first use theirphone or paperto record the absences and tardiness for that class and send it to the teacher of that class. The teacher will then assist in completing the attendance registration within three days.Students can also come to the Student Affairs Office to pick up a paper attendance sheet, fill it out, and return it to the Student Affairs Office.
