Description:
I. The Ministry of Education's National Academy for Educational Research subsidizes universities to offer advanced second foreign language courses for senior high school students, aiming to enhance the global mobility of young students. Upon completion of the advanced second foreign language courses with passing grades, universities may, according to their regulations, consider these as favorable conditions for selection and admission or as a basis for credit transfer after enrollment.
II. The special program will be offered in the 115th academic year (September 115 to June 116). The target audience is students with senior high/vocational school status in September 115. Applicants must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible for this special program:
(I) Have completed and obtained 4 credits (72 hours) of second foreign language (Japanese) courses in senior high/vocational school.
(II) Have previously studied second foreign language (Japanese) courses and possess a foundational ability in that second foreign language (Japanese).
(III) Have resided in a region where the second foreign language (Japanese) is spoken and possess a foundational ability in that second foreign language (Japanese).
(IV) Possess a certificate of qualification for a second foreign language (Japanese) proficiency test or other evidence of foundational ability in the second foreign language (Japanese).
III. The application deadline is from now until August 31, 2026 (Monday) at 12:00 PM. Interested parties can register via the application link (https://forms.gle
/QHu7cw99vs1GmVTX7). The recruitment quota is 12-35 students, with a certain number of reserve candidates. The class location is at Soochow University, Downtown Campus (No. 56, Section 1, Guiyang Street, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City 100, near Xiaonanmen MRT Station).
