Description:
1. Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School is the host school for the "Mathematics Subject Center for General Senior High Schools" under the National Academy for Educational Research, Ministry of Education. To promote the implementation of the high school mathematics curriculum guidelines and the professional development of high school mathematics teachers, this seminar is organized and calls for papers.
2. Target audience for paper submission: Mathematics teachers from all public and private senior and vocational high schools (including substitute teachers and interns).
3. Content of paper submission:
(1) Utilizing AI Collaboration: Examples of designs, research results, and implementation experiences in the application of AI in mathematics teaching, curriculum development, assessment design, learning tool development, or teacher co-preparation.
(2) High School Mathematics Inquiry and Practice: Sharing of implementation experiences in inquiry-based learning, teaching cases, or curriculum design oriented towards mathematical literacy.
(3) Mathematical Literacy: Examples of teaching and assessment oriented towards mathematical literacy.
(4) Cultivating Tool Literacy:
1. Examples of integrating mathematical tools (such as compasses, rulers, geometric models, 3D printing, laser cutting, origami, etc.) into inquiry-based classroom teaching and practical assessments.
2. Examples of curriculum design, research, and implementation experiences in integrating digital technologies (such as calculators, GGB, Python, Desmos, Unity, Excel, etc.) into teaching.
(5) Interdisciplinary Fields: Examples of curriculum design, research, and implementation experiences in interdisciplinary mathematics.
(6) Elective Courses: Examples of curriculum design, research, and implementation experiences in distinctive elective courses.
(7) Guidance on creating learning portfolios for mathematics or sharing experiences from mathematics teacher professional learning communities.
(8) Bilingual Teaching: Examples of curriculum design and implementation experiences in bilingual mathematics teaching.
(9) Integrating Topics: Examples of curriculum design, research, and implementation experiences in integrating topics into teaching.
(10) Introduction to the use of mathematics in modern technology, such as Markov chains for web ranking algorithms (PageRank) and continued fractions applied to Shor's algorithm on quantum computers.
4. Submission Period: From now until September 1, 2026.
