Description:
I. To promote academic exchange, the Graduate Institute of Science Education at our university and the Association for Science Education of the Republic of China (AEST) are jointly organizing the "2026 42nd International Conference on Science Education".
The conference has been authorized and recognized by the East Asian Association for Science Education (EASE) as an international academic event.
II. Conference Theme: This year's conference, themed "Science Education for All: Towards Inclusion and Justice," aims to explore science education within the vision of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
It is dedicated to breaking down educational barriers caused by factors such as race, gender, and socioeconomic status, emphasizing the importance of strengthening science communication, enhancing public media literacy, and critical thinking skills in an era of rampant misinformation.
The conference invites international experts, domestic scholars, educators, policymakers, and media professionals for interdisciplinary dialogue, connecting global perspectives with local practices.
III. Journal Editors Workshop: This conference specially invites editors from top science education journals, including Journal of Research in Science Teaching (JRST), Studies in Science Education, International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education (IJSME), and Contemporary Journal of Science Education (CJSE), as well as Eurasia Journal of Mathematics, Science and Technology Education (EJMSTE).
This provides researchers with an opportunity for direct dialogue with editors, strengthening the connection between Taiwan's science education community and the international academic network.
IV. NTNU Graduate Institute of Science Education 40th Anniversary Celebration: To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Graduate Institute of Science Education at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), a series of celebratory activities will be held.
Alumni are welcome to return to their alma mater for a reunion, and partners in the field of science education are invited to join in celebrating the development of science education in Taiwan and envisioning its future.
V. Best Science Education Conference Paper Award: To encourage researchers to present and share their research findings at the conference, the Association for Science Education has established the "Best Science Education Conference Paper Award." All researchers are invited to submit their applications.
VI. Conference Information:
(I) Event Name: 2026 42nd International Conference on Science Education (Abbreviation: ASET 2026).
(II) Event Dates: December 3 (Thursday) to December 6 (Sunday), 2026.
(III) Submission Deadline: From now until August 20, 2027. Authors requiring visas to Taiwan may apply for early review. Please visit the official website for details.

四、臺師大科教所40周年慶祝活動：適逢臺師大科教所成立四
十週年，期間舉辦系列慶祝活動，歡迎歷屆所友重返母校

五、最佳科學教育研討會論文獎：為激勵研究者於科學教育研
討會中發表及分享其研究成果，科學教育學會特別增設
「最佳科學教育研討會論文獎」，敬邀各方研究者投稿申
請。
