The Ministry of Education's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is organizing the "Online AI Course for Senior High Schools" in collaboration with the Taiwan Association of Artificial Intelligence in Colleges and Universities (TAICA) for the 115 academic year. We encourage all schools to actively participate and urge students to enroll. Please refer to the details in the attached document for further information. Thank you.

Description:
I. In response to the trend of the times, to enrich the senior high schools (hereinafter referred to as "schools")
diverse learning and digital literacy, starting from the 113 academic year, the Ministry and universities will collaborate through remote
online courses to offer diverse elective courses, and upload course resources to the
YouTube platform to promote joint learning among students, and provide opportunities for school teachers to enhance their learning in various subject
areas, and apply them to course and lesson plan design. This allows students to
learn without geographical limitations, explore knowledge in different fields through courses,
stimulate learning enthusiasm, and enhance self-directed learning abilities.
II. Following up on the above, the Ministry will collaborate with the Taiwan Association of University Presidents for Artificial Intelligence Curriculum (TAICA) of National Tsing Hua University in the 115 academic year to offer remote online courses on "Senior High School Online
AI Courses." Each course is worth 2 credits, and the instructor is Professor Gan Zhen-rong from Tunghai University. The course information is as follows:

(1) The first semester course is "Artificial Intelligence Ethics I: Ethical Critical Thinking Tools to
Fairness."
(2) The second semester course is "Artificial Intelligence Ethics II: Safety, Privacy, and Social Impact."

III. In accordance with Article 5 of the "Implementation Guidelines for Digital Distance Teaching of Cross-School Elective or Advanced Placement Courses in Senior High Schools," participating schools must assign one cooperating teacher

IV. To provide students in remote areas and non-mountainous, non-urban schools with diverse educational resources for learning,
and ensure equal learning opportunities, it is recommended that schools in remote areas and non-mountainous, non-urban areas participate in at least one course to protect students' rights and interests in learning knowledge across various fields, and enhance students' learning motivation and competitiveness.

V. The Ministry will hold an online briefing session for the aforementioned matter on April 30, 115 (Thursday) at 3:00 PM. Schools interested in offering the course internally are required to attend. The Ministry and the university professors offering the course will explain the details of course offerings.
