Tunghai University and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) of Malaysia are jointly organizing the "2026 I-NMC International Joint Mathematics Competition" poster. We encourage students to actively register and participate.

Description:
I. To promote international mathematics education exchange and a spirit of competition, our university is co-organizing the "2026 I-NMC International Joint Mathematics Competition" with the Department of Mathematics at UTAR (Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman), Malaysia.
This competition, formerly known as the UTAR National Mathematics Competition (NMC), provides a platform for high school students, prospective university students, and university students to showcase their mathematical talents.
It encourages mathematics enthusiasts to actively participate and demonstrate their excellent mathematical abilities. Participants will receive a certificate of participation, and the top three winners in each category will be awarded certificates and prize money.
II. Competition details are as follows:
(I) Registration Period: From now until June 5, 2026.
(II) Event Time: June 20, 2026 (Saturday), 08:00 - 17:00.
(III) Event Location: The Grand Wisdom Science and Technology Building on our campus.
(IV) Target Audience:
1. Recommended for ages 16 and above. Participants under 16 will be considered for experience or challenge and will still be charged the registration fee. Those with a basic understanding of calculus and high school mathematics will better enjoy the problem-solving process.
2. Competition Categories (Questions in English with Chinese translation provided):
(1) X Competition (Mathketeers): Group problem-solving, 9 open-ended questions, 1 hour duration, calculators allowed.
(2) Y Competition (Theory of Everything): Individual multiple-choice questions, 20 questions, answer sheet marking, 1 hour duration, calculators not allowed.
(3) Z Competition (Running Math): Individual multiple-choice questions, 100 questions, paper or answer sheet marking, 20 minutes duration, calculators not allowed.
(V) Competition Prizes:
1. X Competition: 1st Place NT$10,000, 2nd Place NT$5,000, 3rd Place NT$3,000. Participants whose scores reach the top 25% (Q1) will receive an Excellence Award certificate.
2. Y Competition: 1st Place NT$5,000, 2nd Place NT$3,000, 3rd Place NT$2,000. Participants whose scores reach the top 25% (Q1) will receive an Excellence Award certificate.
3. Z Competition: 1st Place NT$5,000, 2nd Place NT$3,000, 3rd Place NT$2,000. Participants whose scores reach the top 25% (Q1) will receive an Excellence Award certificate.
III. Registration Fees:
(I) X Competition: NT$2,000 per team (3 people per team).
(II) Y and Z Competitions: NT$1,000 per person.
