These supplementary regulations (hereinafter referred to as these regulations) are formulated and promulgated in accordance with the "Regulations for Student Learning Assessment in Senior High Schools" issued by the Ministry of Education on June 18, 2019, Order No. Tai-Jiao-Guo-Bu-Zi-1080057314B, and the examination rules for students of the National Taipei University of Technology Affiliated Taoyuan Agricultural and Industrial Senior High School.
II. Students of all grades in our school who are unable to participate in regular school assessments and semester make-up exams due to official leave, bereavement leave, sick leave, pre-natal leave, maternity leave, miscarriage leave, parental leave, menstrual leave, or other major incidents, and have been granted leave, shall have their make-up exam matters handled in accordance with these regulations. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter Tai-Jiao-Guo-Bu-Zi-1135804922A dated August 16, 2024, students are not permitted to take leave for mental and physical adjustment during the period of regular academic assessment and semester make-up exams.
III. If a student is unable to attend an exam due to official leave, bereavement leave, or a major illness/accident, they must complete the leave application procedures at the Student Affairs Office. After approval, proof must be submitted to the Academic Affairs Office for registration. The make-up exam application must be completed at the Academic Affairs Office no later than 2 class days before the exam. For sudden serious illness, emergency treatment, or accidental incidents, the student must inform their homeroom teacher or call the Academic Affairs Office by 8:00 AM on the day of the exam. Students who are absent without approved leave will be marked as absent, and their absent subjects will be graded as zero.
IV. Students applying for make-up exams for regular assessments and semester make-up exams shall follow the provisions below:
(1) For official leave, bereavement leave, sick leave, pre-natal leave, maternity leave, miscarriage leave, parental leave, menstrual leave, and other major incident reasons, approval from the Student Affairs Office and supporting documentation are required.
(2) For sick leave, if prior notice can be given, it shall be handled as in the preceding clause. If it is an emergency and prior notice cannot be given, the homeroom teacher will confirm and complete the leave application procedures on behalf of the student.
(3) Students requiring make-up exams due to personal reasons must obtain and complete the make-up exam application form from the Academic Affairs Office no later than 2 class days before the school's regular assessment.
V. For students who have been granted leave and have completed the make-up exam application procedures, the make-up exam date is the end of the exam day or the date of return to school.
The first class of the day is directly at the Academic Affairs Office for the make-up exam. Students are not allowed to enter the classroom and must attend the make-up exam according to the schedule. Otherwise, the absent subjects will be graded as zero.
Subjects will be calculated as zero.
VI. If the leave date for a semester make-up exam exceeds the school's deadline for uploading make-up exam scores, or if the make-up exam cannot be completed before the deadline, the make-up exam score for the absent subject will be calculated as zero.
VII. Make-up exams as stipulated in these regulations are limited to one attempt.
VIII. Calculation of scores for regular assessment make-up exams:
(1) For official leave, sick leave, bereavement leave, pre-natal leave, maternity leave, parental leave, and miscarriage leave (excluding personal leave), scores will be calculated based on the actual score obtained.
(2) For personal leave due to major special incidents, the maximum score will be 60 points.
(3) If a student's leave is canceled after the score entry deadline has passed, the score for that subject will be calculated as zero.
