I. To promote reading, cultivate it from a young age, and foster local and international exchange, the Ministry of Culture
will cultivate a reading population from the consumer end of children and adolescents, boost the publishing industry, and implement cultural
equity by organizing the Taiwan International Children's and Young Adult Book Fair starting in 2025. The 2026 Book Fair will
integrate theatrical performances and film screenings, consolidating into the "Taiwan International Children's and Young Adult Festi-
val" from September 23rd to 27th at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center and the President Cinema, creating a cultural feast that spans reading, performance, and film and television, showcasing Taiwan's
diverse cultural content.

II. The "Taiwan International Children's and Young Adult Festival" Book Fair will feature various exhibition halls such as a Country of Honor Pavilion, a Kaohsiung Theme City Pavilion, a Children's Book Pavilion, and a Young Adult Pavilion, and will invite Taiwanese publishers to exhibit and jointly promote reading and
sell publications. Admission is free for individuals under 18 years old, and those aged 19 to
22 can also enter for free with their Cultural Coin.

In conjunction with the festival, the Ministry is implementing the aforementioned plan, inviting teachers and students from high schools, junior high schools, elementary schools, cram schools, after-school care centers, kindergartens, and self-study groups nationwide to register as groups to experience the joy of reading and enjoy wonderful performances by renowned domestic and international theater troupes. Some film screening sessions will also be open for ticket collection.

IV. To implement cultural equity, this initiative provides transportation, meal, and accommodation (limited to specific areas) expenses, as well as a NT$500 book voucher per student, for teachers and students from rural junior high schools, elementary schools, and high schools in Kaohsiung City, Chiayi County, Tainan City, Pingtung County, and Taitung County to visit the book fair.
Schools that meet the Ministry of Education's definitions of remote, very remote, and extremely remote areas are eligible for subsidies. Applications are open from now until June 15th, 2025 (Monday). Those interested can register online at https://reurl.cc/kpNrV9. Quotas are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

特偏、極偏定義之學校均可申請補助,申請時間自即日起
