Description:
I. II. The purpose of this competition is to encourage students to deepen their English expression and logical thinking skills, cultivate bilingual communication, information interpretation, and rational argumentation abilities, and promote exchanges among teachers and students from various schools.

III. The competition rules are summarized as follows:
(I) Participants: Students from public and private vocational high schools, as well as students from professional fields/specialized programs in general and comprehensive high schools are eligible to participate; students from non-professional fields/specialized programs in general and comprehensive high schools are not eligible.

(II) The competition will be conducted in English and will consist of two parts: "Prepared Topic" and "Impromptu Topic", as follows:

1. Prepared Topic:
(1) The organizer will announce the prepared topic prior to the competition. The prepared topic will be a controversial issue that may be related to a certain policy or daily life.

(2) The organizer will provide written reference materials in Chinese or English related to the topic. Participating teams may also collect up to 2 additional references on their own.

The interpretation results will be transformed into arguments supporting their chosen stance, as well as responses to the opposing side's potential arguments and evidence, presented in the form of an English presentation.

2. Impromptu Topic:
(1) On the day of the competition, teams that have completed the prepared topic English presentation will immediately proceed to the impromptu topic English presentation.

(2) Participating teams will interpret or analyze 1 English document related to daily life. The organizer will provide a vocabulary list for the English words in the document and a presentation template to assist participants in understanding the content and producing their presentation.

字之單字表及簡報模板，以協助參賽者理解資訊內
容並產出簡報。
(3) The impromptu presentation topic will be either a "document interpretation" or an "evidence analysis" type.

1. Registration Period: From now until October 16, 115 (Friday) at 12:00 PM. Please fill out the registration information on the online form: https://forms.gle/kycXtdbjriqT9rZm6.

2. Any changes to registration information must be completed before the registration system closes on October 23, 115 (Friday) at 12:00 PM.

(1) Competition Date: November 14, 115 (Saturday).
(2) Competition Venue: Taichung Municipal Shalu Industrial Senior High School.
(3) Address: No. 823, Section 7, Taiwan Boulevard, Shalu District, Taichung City.
