Description:
1. The Environmental Quality Education Foundation was established in 1984 and is an observer to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
It focuses on environmental education, climate change, environmental rule of law, and international participation, and is happy to provide a stage for children and youth.
2. This event encourages children and youth to deeply understand and rethink their homeland, and to document its appearance. Over tens of thousands of works from children and youth in more than 30 countries worldwide have conveyed their images of their homeland through painting.
3. We sincerely invite all children and youth aged 6 to 18 to draw "My Homeland" on B4 (26 x 38 cm) drawing paper. The creative style and media are not limited. Please mail your submissions by October 15, 2026 (postmark as proof of mailing).
The mailing address is our Taipei office (6F-1, No. 88, Section 2, Xinyi Road, Da'an District, Taipei City 10641).
4. There is no limit to the number of winning entries. The judging criteria are not about "who draws the best," but rather to encourage students to engage in environmental dialogue through their brushstrokes and present their delicate observations of their homeland.
All grade levels have the opportunity to win. Based on past experience, the number of winners can exceed 10% of the total submissions. The submitted works will be organized by our foundation and sent to Central Europe, Belarus, for evaluation. The list of winners is expected to be announced in April next year (2027), and digital certificates will be mailed in June. Exhibitions or publications will be planned for selected works, and we also invite supervising teachers to sign their names on the submitted works to share this honor together.
5. For the 21st "In My Homeland" International Painting Competition, 63 creators from Taiwan received awards. The excellent artworks were exhibited at the Yilan People's Museum in May this year, and will continue to be exhibited from September 21 to October 5 at the 8th-floor Art and Culture Corridor of Far Eastern Department Store, Zhubei Branch. Admission is free and all are welcome to visit.
