To inform that the Bureau of Cultural Heritage, Ministry of Culture (hereinafter referred to as the Bureau) is organizing the 2026 Asian Industrial Cultural Heritage Platform International Lecture "Sweet Times: Sugar Industry Memories and Site Regeneration in Asian Landscapes." We encourage you to participate actively.
Details:
1. In accordance with the Bureau's letter Ref. No. WENZI ZONG ZI NO. 1153005629 dated May 27, 115.
2. The aforementioned lecture invites scholars, experts, and practitioners deeply involved in the preservation of sugar industry heritage, and the promotion of sugar industry history and culture. They will discuss how Asian countries, when facing vast sugar industry relics, settlements, and historical memories, balance the preservation of cultural heritage with the development of modern society. Through the comparison of cases from various countries and cross-regional dialogue, the lecture will analyze the impact and value of Asian sugar industry heritage on local economies and societies.
3. The details of the aforementioned event are as follows:
(1) Lecture Time: June 26, 115 (Friday), 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
(2) Lecture Venue: Hengdao Hall Small Auditorium, Bureau of Cultural Heritage, Ministry of Culture (No. 362, Section 3, Fuxing Road, South District, Taichung City).
(3) Registration Period: From now until June 23, 115 (until 23:59).
