For your information, the Ministry of Education's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is holding a teacher professional development workshop on "Exploring Flavors in Nature: Sensory, Wild Plants, and Field Investigations." We encourage you to participate actively.
Details:
I. In accordance with the work plan of the Home Economics Subject Center of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Ministry of Education, and the Northern Region Inquiry and Practice Curriculum Promotion Center.
II. Based on "Wild Plant Flavor Studies," Mr. Guo Ting-wei, chef at EMBERS, will be invited to share his experience in field investigations of wild plants. Through flavors, local ingredients, and sensory experiences, teachers will be guided to re-examine the relationship between land and environment, and explore how to integrate
sustainability, food culture, and inquiry-based practice to develop interdisciplinary teaching activities.
III. Workshop Information:
(1) Workshop Time: June 23rd (Tuesday), 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
(2) Workshop Location: National Taiwan Normal University Affiliated Senior High School (No. 143, Section 3, Xinyi Road, Da'an District, Taipei City).
IV. Please grant participants official (business) leave and assist with class scheduling and substitute arrangements. Related expenses will be covered by the original service school in accordance with regulations.
V. We kindly request the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Ministry of Education, all city and county education bureaus (departments), and the Central Curriculum and Instruction Guidance Group to inform junior high school teachers, elementary school teachers, guidance group teachers, and central group consulting teachers.
