Description:
I. Based on the Executive Yuan's bilingual education policy and the Ministry of Education's "12-Year Basic Education Curriculum Guidelines" (page 22) regarding technical high schools, it is recommended to "appropriately plan the offering of professional English courses for each discipline" to establish distinctive curricula or interdisciplinary collaborative teaching.
II. According to the Ministry of Education's letter No. Tai Jiao Ji (4) Zi Di 1050157461 dated November 9, 105 (2016), each technical and vocational college "should prioritize strengthening students' professional English proficiency to enhance their employability." This aligns with the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Deep Cultivation Plan and the policy of reforming professional English courses to meet industry demands, thereby implementing innovative teaching capabilities in professional English among faculty.
III. The purpose of this competition is to enhance teachers' and students' knowledge of both English for General Purposes (EGP) and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) to cultivate outstanding professional talent. The strategies employed are "learning through competition," "application through competition," and "exchange through competition." We kindly request your bureau to co-organize this event and the teacher training. The registration website for the teacher training is:
IV. To assist schools in developing distinctive ESP (English for Specific Purposes) school-based curricula and to facilitate interdisciplinary collaborative teaching and professional development between dual teachers (English teachers and professional subject teachers) in bilingual instruction and professional English.
V. We cordially invite your bureau to approve the organization of this event. Yong Feng Senior High School in Taoyuan City (lead organizer) and Xinxing High School in Taoyuan City, along with National Taiwan Normal University, will jointly organize the competition and teacher training.
VI. Furthermore, we request that all organizing and participating personnel be granted official leave (business trip) and commendations in accordance with your bureau's regulations.

校(主承辦)及桃園市新興高中等與國立臺灣師範大學共同承辦競賽活動
及教師研習。
六、另請惠予各承辦及參與人員等，依貴局規定給予公(差)假
及敘獎。
