This school was established on April 25,1983, and originally it was a 5-year agricultural school. In 1967, the name of this school was changed to Tao-yuan Senior Vocational Agricultural & Industrial School.
At present, the headquarters of this school includes 11 departments (53 classes). Besides this school includes Senior Supplementary High School 35 classes, Senior Supplementary High School's Branch School 2 classes. In short, the total amount includes 90 classes and about 4000 students.

This department was established in Aug. 1976. Most of the students are from the farming family. All the workshops provided in this department include: farm machinery workshop, poultry houses, greenhouses, researchrooms and a complete outfit of modern tolls and machinery.
The educational goal of this department is to cultivate the future farmer withthe ability of modern farm management.
Dept. of Horticulture ScienceThis department was established in Oct. 1945. The main coureses offered are: vegetable crops, pomology, floriculture, treatment & process of horticulture product, plant propagation, seedling production, Landscape gardening, and horticulture business.
We especially lay emphasis on instilling ideas of enterprising management for horticultural production and on cultivating technical personnel in treating and processing horticultural products.
Dept. of Animal ScienceThis department was established in Aug. 1952. (from 1963 to 1978, we sponsored overseas Chinese seminars)
The educational goal of this department is to cultivate students' spirit of respecting work and enjoying company and gurthermore to develop their creative and adap tive abilities in handling animal husbandry business.
Dept. of Bio-mechatronic EngineeringThis department was established in Aug. 1960.

Dept. of Mechanical EngineeringThis department was established in Aug. 1967.
In addition to cultivate student's vocational morality, perfect personality, self-development ability and safety habits in operating machine, we stress on training students to become a successful mechanic having foundamental knowledge and practical skill.
Dept. of Electrical EngineeringThis department was established in Aug. 1967.
The educational goal of this department is to impart students with the professional knowledge and skills in the field of electrical engineering, equipping them with abilities to deal with automatic control, water and power supply, microcomputer control, power transmission & distribution, and enabling them to have independent working experience after grduation.
Dept. of ElectronicsThis department was established in Aug. 1969. The main courses offered are: electronics, introduction of computer, electronical instrument, audio-visual electronics, communicating electronics, industrial electronics, automatic control, micro computer, and system technique etc.
Students are expeced to be the technologists specializing in great varieties of electronics and systems in order to perform such duties as design, production, operation and maintenance.
Dept. of Chemical EngineeringThis department was established in Aug. 1969.
The main object of this department is to teach practical techniques in chemical industry and to cultivate students to be the junior technician majoring in production operation, quality control maintenance and analysis, etc.
Dept. of AutomobilesThis department was established in Aug. 1971.
The educational goal of this department is to impart students with complete professional knowledge and skills in the field of automobile, cultivating their sound personality, and enabling them to be able to undertake technical service in automotive industry.
Dept. of Engineering MachineryThis department was established in Aug. 1977. It's original title was "Repair & Maintenance of Heavy Machinery". It has been revised since 1986. The courses offered include three main parts: engineer, hydraulic system chassis and tools.
This department is aiming at cultivating and training students to become skilled mechanic being able to repair and maintain heavy machinery such as excarator, bulldozer and wheel loader used in civil engineering and construction.
Dept. of Dies and MoldsThis department was established in Aug. 1978.
The students are trained to be able to operate C.N.C. Machine properly and building a good foundation in Die-marking skill. Such as Stamping Dies, Plastic Molds, and Diecast Molds. The main field of this study are Principle of Tool & Die-making, Structure of Die and Mold, Safety Education, Introduction to C.N.C. Machines, and Theory of Mechanism etc.
Special Education ClassFrom 1994, the school provides special education for slightly mentalretarded students to become independent citizens, by job training and by education in social and individual adjusting abilities.
